THE VAN DEN BOSCH STORY CONTINUES

The dominating KTM squad of Thierry Van Den Bosch (F) and Jürgen Künsel (D) achieved a brilliant victory at the second round of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship at the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard (NL). They battled before an enthusiastic crowd of more than 10,000 people, finishing with Van Den Bosch as the winner and Künzel in second position.

The story of the final, however, was written by the Husqvarna Factory rider, Max Manzo (I), who had been punished with the 21st starting position after jumping the start in the semi-final. He fought his way from his starting position through the pack, finishing with an excellent 7th place.

A happy Van Den Bosch said, "I had some problems in the semi-final, so I had to concentrate 200% on the start of the final. I took the hole-shot but had a lot of pressure from my team mate, Künzel. My wish to win the race was strong, I fought hard and reached this goal."

"In a very short time the FIM S1 World Championship has been established" Giuseppe Luongo, President of Youthstream, says "Everything went smooth, especially when it is only the second round. We are going confidently into the rest of the season."

Keep your eyes out for the next round of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship on the 22nd September in Toulouse (France).
